My cat of 14 years...

The past week I have been in angst over what is the best treatment of my cat of 14 years. She appeared to be going to Cat Heaven last week after not eating or drinking for 3 days, but after a visit to the vet, which confirmed her days are numbered, my son visited her, and she started eating again and has been doing much better the last 3 days. Today, she got sick again after eating, which leaves each moment, each day questioning how she is really doing. The question is what is the best for her? .

Do I help her go to Cat Heaven with the vet's help now, even though she is still functioning (mostly)?

My solution ended up being a mixture of all 3 options - blended over a couple weeks time. My cat passed on April 2nd with the help of the vet..it was just too hard to watch her suffer any longer.
